This cachet was applied to mail posted in the box outside the Queen Victoria Museum at Launceston. Unusual to find on commercial mail - this cover is from the Launceston City Council.
Some envelope faults but nothing too bad really - the covers have been selected by the quality of the postmark impression. None of the postmarks are "tied" to a particular post office (I'd want a lot more for them if they were!!)
Only example I've seen from this period - struck in blue ink.
Limited to 200 examples - postmark also exists on other mail lodged at the exhibition. Very fine condition.
