* 1890s - 1c Columbian Exhibition envelope used to forward printed matter to Germany - this use is not often seen. Excellent condition and still contains some of the original contents.
* 1932 - small air mail flight cover carried by the U.S.S. Akron from and to Lakehurst, New Jersey - different cachets applied front and reverse.
* 1933 - 2c Columbus PSE used as souvenir cover for Chicago ("Century of Progress") Exhibition - small cinderellas affixed front and reverse (please view). Fine condition.
* 1935 - souvenir cover from Admiral Byrd's 2nd Expedition to Antarctica - official cachet with penguins on the back (please view). Condition is excellent to fine.
Envelopes were published by "Porto-Server", Chicago. Some faults (one envelope has been reduced a fraction at the left end) however all are very presentable and attractive.
Backstamps clearly "document" the journey. A couple of light marks do not detract from this o/wise very presentable cover.
Cristobal m/cancel from Jan 2nd 1930 on reverse, the day of the first air mail flight @ 20c rate to Miami. Excellent condition.
Clear Cristobal paquebot duplex cancel. Fine condition.
Opened on two sides with part of the censor seal missing on the reverse. Attractive cover.
Flap torn with tiny piece missing but this does not detract from this o/wise attractive cover.
