(WW15220) TASMANIA · c.1910: unused real photo card by J.W. Beattie with a view of the Paddlesteamer "MONARCH" on the Derwent River near New Norfolk · original photo probably pre-dates this print by some years · nice condition. A similar photo in the Crowther Collection is attributed to the Ansons for whom Beattie worked before establishing his own studio; Beattie bought the remaining Anson brother's business which included all or most of their catalog of negatives.
