(LD1001) TASMANIA · 1902 (Jan 27th): a full clear strike of the TEEPOOKANA Type 1 cds on a 1d Pictorial which is rated RRRRR-(19) · pre-dates opening of PO (date of opening listed by Hardinge as being February 1st so it's possible that this is a date error rather than a new early date)* · I cannot recall seeing this cds on the 1d Pictorial issue before. The condition of the stamp has some minor issues however these to not detract from the item one jot in my opinion.

Footnote: * After further research by John Hardinge since this item was listed, apparently the postmistress commenced duty on January 1st 1902 so the current opening date needs to be brought forward by one month.
